One such was three skeins of <a href="http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3053&amp;PRODID=prd33461">Joann Sensations Bellissimo</a> in bright turquoise, a gift from my dear husband from several years ago. Not knowing exactly what to do with 230 yards of bulky, thick-and-thin boucle wool with a metallic thread, I trolled Ravelry and came up with the <a href="http://mkcarroll.typepad.com/mk_carroll/2007/12/anne-crochet-la.html">lovely</a> <a href="http://1craftyboy.wordpress.com/2007/12/11/okey-dokey/">Queen Anne&#8217;s Lace scarf</a>. All I needed was a ludicrously large purple plastic crochet hook, and I was off to the races.</p>
<p>An hour and a half later, I have a <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Lobolita/queen-annes-lace-scarf">cheerfully ruffly 60-inch scarf</a>, which took two skeins of the Bellissimo, and one ball left over, which I may try to squeeze a hat out of.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.lobolita.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/09-8-11-019.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-195" title="09-8-11 019" src="http://www.lobolita.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/09-8-11-019-300x225.jpg" alt="09-8-11 019" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
