Knitscene Fall 2010
The new Knitscene is up. I am beginning to conclude that I like this magazine better than its parent, Interweave Knits. The patterns just seem much more wearable, not to mention knittable. I love the Balsam Jacket and want to immediately buy the yarn to make one in my size. This brings up my current [...]

My Life in Ruins
I’ve never had a good attention span. This blog is a case in point. Spates of frequent updates, interspersed with long periods of silence. My crafting life is another example. This month I am obsessed with sewing. Next month, I could drop it entirely and pick up knitting again, Or lampwork. Or calligraphy. Or something [...]

Celebrate the Boy
Okay–I saw this on Made by Rae when it first came up, but neglected to post anything about it. Then my friend Jeana mentioned it on her blog and I’ve seen it on several others, so here goes. February is month in blogland. Since my little toughie is all boy, I’m joining in. I’ve already [...]

A Room a Month
Okay…I’m going to go for it. Besides, posting something on the internet means that it will get done, right? Heh, heh, heh…have I woven in the ends of my Drops sweater yet? I have not. Anyhow. Theresa, the Keyboard Biologist, has committed to improve her house, one room, one month, at a time. Since my [...]

Back in Business
Or I would be, if I could find a USB cord so I could post some pictures. There has been knitting. There will be cooking tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I have a commission for a full bridal party’s worth of wedding jewelry and the flowers for the same wedding. To distract you from the fact that [...]
